In today's world horses are a dime a dozen. So what sets us apart? Quality horses at honest prices. We put alot of thought and time into our breeding program. Each mare is hand selected along with the stallions that we use. We purchased Eye Soar as a 3 year old and he is the 'icing' on the cake in our program. He compliments nearly all of our mares ranging from 'cow' to 'race'and time and time again we are blessed with outstanding foals. Many of our mares are foundation bred while a handful of them are AAA race mares. We also have a few TB's in the mix. We have been a factor in the race horse world for many years and have since raised and sold really solid horses who have gone on to have competitive careers in the arena.
Winter Creek Farms is nestled along the Winter Creek bed in Alex Oklahoma. We are located 45 minutes south of OKC and 2 hours north of Dallas. Our horses are raised in the all natural great outdoors. We believe in letting them figure things out for themselves for the first year of their life. They are exposed to creeks, rivers, hills, holes, traffic, cattle and dogs. The foals are halter broke as weanlings each fall, put in a roundpen, and then turned back out to grow until they are long yearlings. As yearlings we began really showing them the ropes, working on basics and hauling them to see the sights. By the time they are two year olds the only thing left to do is throw a saddle on them.
